Have you ever thought about what happens when you wear swimwear in the sea?
Do you take a minute to think what your swimwear is made from or even where it was made?
Do you want to be a part of our promise to you?
Tiny microfibers, made from Polyester particles are released into the water when you wash or wear clothing, including swimwear. Tucca Swim’s SS19 collection is made from eco-friendly fabrics. This fabric is 78% recycled polyamide and 22% elastane. The decision to create a sustainable swimwear collection came with seeing a lot of plastic in the Mediterranean Sea and wanting to raise awareness of the severity of this.
We strongly believe in the principles behind Slow Fashion and with that in mind we have a limited range of styles and colours this helps our audience appreciate and enjoy the collection. As consumers, you have so much power to change the world by just being careful in what you buy. We create small runs with an experienced UK manufacturer as and when needed, this helps us achieve minimal wastage.
It’s important to take care of your swimwear and at Tucca Swim, longevity and quality remain of high importance. Our Eco-Friendly fabric made from Recycled Nylon lasts on average 3 months longer than normal swimwear fabrics and also has improved resistance to sun cream and chlorine.
Tucca Swim’s packaging is minimal, biodegradable and plastic free. We aim to be as sustainable as possible and understand there is always more that can be done. We want to have a positive role in protecting the planet by encouraging you to think more before you buy so take the plunge with Tucca Swim!
