Mallorca is the heart of Tucca Swim. The island where we found our love for travel, sustainability and swimwear! Over 25 years of exploring the Balearics we are now ready to share with you, the Tucca Swim Hidden Gems of Mallorca. Say goodbye to your tour books and hello to our locations from photoshoots showing you the best parts of what the island has to offer.

The South East

The South East of the island has the best beaches. The majority of our time in Mallorca has been spent this side of the island which is very unspoilt.

We recommend you visit our hometown, Porto Petro. This idyllic fishing village is away from the tourists and has a lot to offer. Little did you know..Little Britain Abroad was filmed here and also the recent film The Hustle..we’ve seen it all!

The beach to go to from Porto Petro is Cala Mondrago. Now you will see where we got our 2021 collection name from! This beach sits from a nature park which offers pine forests, beautiful coastlines and rocky coves. Just round the corner is a second beach, S’Armador which is worth walking along to. Everyone takes that classic Instagram photo at the round circular viewpoint halfway across.

Since I have touched upon the Instagram appeal of Mallorca, you have to visit Caló des Muro. This was our shoot location back in 2019 and since has been used my many brands and influencers. This destination is a short 25 minute drive from Cala Mondrago but is even more popular, especially since the Balearic government used this location on all of their advertisement to boost travel since the pandemic.

Calo Des Muro is magical and is a picture perfect cala. It offers a tiny beach which is quite a climb down to get to and it can get very crowded but worth it!

If you want a proper beach day and space avoid during high season and head further south to Es Trenc which looks like the Caribbean!

Es Trenc is a 7km long beach famous for its clear shallow turquoise waters and white sand. Further along the beach is known for naturist bathing so be aware of this. The views from Es Trenc are spectacular and here in the distance you will see Cabrera island. (Yes, that is another name of one of our bikinis!)

Cabrera is an uninhibited island which you can only access by boat. These boats depart from Colonia de Sant Jordi located in Ses Selines.

This is the best place for snorkelling and the cleanest waters of the Balearics. We often see dolphins along this stretch and in the past turtles. This island is made up of 19 islets and is 10km from the southern coast of Mallorca. Be sure to check out the blue cave!

The history of Cabrera goes back a long way and during the War of Independence a lot of Napoleon’s soldiers were captured and held here. There is a castle on the land which was used as a looking out point giving you spectacular views for miles.

In our Summer 2021 collection we named one of our prints ‘Cabrera’ as this island inspires. It’s truly a magical place and we feel very privileged to have been here many times.

What we’ve mentioned so far is areas of Mallorca we have grown up around but there is so much to explore! In more recent times we have travelled to the following areas and would recommend visiting.

  • Soller

  •  Cala Deià

  • Sa Calobra

  • Palma
